Location

Named after Zakynthos - son of the Trojan king Dardanos, who founded the first city on the island circa 1500 B.C.- under Venetian rule Zakynthos was referred to as Zante, "fiore di levante" or "flower of the East".

Getting to Sarakino

Conveniently situated in the tiny hamlet of Agios Dimitrios, in the middle of the lush Valley of Zakynthos, Sarakino is in an evergreen setting of vineyards and olive groves.

The complex is in the best location for easy road-access to all parts of the island, including the port of Agios Nikolaos, the starting point for the fascinating Blue Caves and Shipwreck.

Car rental is strongly advised on the island as public transport is inconvenient due to infrequent schedules and delays. If you need assistance with car rental we are here to assist you via our specialized partners.
